The mares raise their foals out on groomed, lush pastures, and the foals have endless space for stretching their legs, and playing with their pasture mates. With the main focus on selling foals as weanlings, they are halter broke, learn to lead, and are handled daily to ensure a confident, and quite youngster. They are pastured with our cow/calf pairs in the summer months, and learn what cattle are early in life, and have no fear. Exposed to farm equipment, trucks, 4-wheelers, and dogs, the foals gain a sense of what the real world is, and tend to settle into their new homes, with ease. We have horses, that we've raised in our program, in states such as: Colorado, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Minnesota, Ohio, and Oklahoma.

LAYCE DECK

Every pasture has to have a little color to spice it up, and Layce sure ads that element to our group! Layce not only is a pretty face, and a cute mover, but has the pedigree to make her the total package, when it comes to a producing broodmare. Her sire, THE GOLDEN DECK, is a son of Deck of Stars and a AQHA & PHBA point earner in western pleasure. Layce has the kind of disposition every horse owner desires; extreme kindness, willingness, and great 'like' for people.
I'm very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to purchase this mare, and thank Angie for selling her to us and Ellen's great planning for bringing her home. Layce and our son Kaleb have become friends, and that is what I search hard for in a new horse - kid friendly individuals! Welcome home Layce.

The day I met a legend.... NATURAL IRON... September 2008

I share this news with a very heavy heart, and still not believing it's true, but today March 27, 2009, Natural Iron died. He was 18 years old. Two of our mares have a bit of Stanley in them.... that was his barn name - Stanley. He is one of the greats of all time... At least in my eyes. May God Bless you Stanley.

A Brew Two, or "Nana" as we call her, is a daughter of WF Two Thumbs Up - a leading HUS sire that stands 17 hands, and our mare isn't far behind, measuring in at a very honest 16.3 H.
The bottom side of this mares papers speaks greatness as well, with her dam being a daughter of Natural Iron. This mare is stamped with that classic HUS style - big movement, with that swing! She is an amazing mare, in mind, and movement. Truly a gentle giant, in my eyes.

As our program grows, we are starting to add more mares to the broodmare roster. Two Elusive To Touch # X0651148, (aka, Alice), comes to our farm by no mere fluke. Alice is a half sister to my brown mare, A Brew Two (aka, Nana) and is also sired by WF Two Thumbs Up. Nana is proving to be one of my best producing mares of all-around show prospects. Alice stands just a whiff under 16H and has great lines and movement and I'm very eager to have her start producing for us! She is a Sweet mare, and is the first to greet you in the pasture... always. She will for sure be the girl to watch, in years to come if you are searching for a superior show prospect, that you can excel in numerous events. Alison, thank you, for letting me purchase one of your horses. I saw this day coming...... Alice is a lovely girl, as you told me time after time.
