POA's have found their way into our hearts, and you can usually find a spotted fellow in the pasture. I love taking a POA that has been sadly outgrown, or lost of interest, and bringing it home, to work with. Once I've logged the hours in the saddle, and had the chance to make the POA "mother approved," my mission is in full swing, of finding a perfect family for the pony. I have sold several amazing ponies, that have gone
on to become safe
show mounts for a youth rider, and they are coming home with the ribbons! POA's are truly built for young riders. I have found such enjoyment, and appreciation, from what they offer.

Ok, I'm just flabbergasted, for today, the
mother of the lady who bough my bay colts (the full sibs) did something
breathtaking for her daughter's 30th bday. I had sent her copies of the foal
pics I have, that really mirror each colt, for the age, and it is one of them
laying in the grass. Apart from a few markings, they look like twins, or as I
had nick-named them, "the bookends." So the mom of this gal had someone paint a
picture of the two colts, laying side by side, and the painting is called "The
Bookends." The artist asked if she could make greeting cards out
of the copy of the painting....I said yes! Here are my two boys, both sons of
Zippo, out of my big Nana mare.... The bookends. Is this not a cool
moment????
